MADURAI: The newborn baby which was allegedly missing from the maternity ward of the Government Rajaji Hospital was found and a woman was arrested in this connection.

Police said that Podhumani had given birth to a child in the hospital recently. In the early hours of Friday, she found her baby missing. Madhichiyam police registered a case of missing child. Special teams were formed. The police received information that a woman in Virudhunagar district claimed that she had delivered a baby recently and approached a hospital there. Suspecting her claims, the team rushed and found the woman _ Poongodi of Saminatham village near Sivakasi with the stolen child.

Inquiries revealed that she had stolen the baby as she did not have a child even after 10-years of marital life. Moreover, she had told her relatives sometime back that she was pregnant following which a function was conducted. She told her relatives that she had given birth to a baby. Hence, she committed the crime.

Based on the confession, a case was registered and she was produced before a judicial magistrate. Since she had claimed to have been pregnant, the police have admitted Poongodi in the GRH for a medical report. Further investigation is on.

Teenage girl makes false RAPE accusation

Another day another fake rape case!!!
Teenager girl alleges gang-rape against four, near a famous Mall in NOIDA. And, even though RAPE was ruled out in Medical Examination, she continued to claim she was gang-raped!!
The motive was simply to extort some money because of her financial needs.


And, here is the usual approach which police adopts when dealing with false cases.
Of course, the police lets go of the girl with "stern warning"!!
Only police can explain what they mean by their stern warning, and why in the first place did they not charge the girl with other offences??
Is she not guilty of cheating, wasting govt. servants time and public money for a false accusation??
If this had been done by a man, first action by police is to let their hands loose at brutal thrashing of the man. Next, they would have piled up sections from IPC/CrPC to teach him a lesson.


But, since, here they were dealing with a girl, they did not try to touch her with any of cheating cases.
What to expect next ??
This gal is having financial needs and wants to fulfill that with some quick, easy, extorted money. So, she is bound to return with better planning next time to make some false case again with some other unsuspecting 'bakra'

The kidnapping and gang rape complaint made by an 18-year-old girl on Friday turned out to be false.

The police said the girl had planned to blackmail the four men she had accused of raping her. Though the police arrested the teenager, they let her off later with a “stern warning“.

“On Friday evening we received a call from the Delhi Police about kidnapping of a girl from Great India Place Mall area. Immediately police teams traced the Scorpio car and nabbed two suspected kidnappers and recovered the girl. The girl told the police that the two other men, who were with the accused, had run away,“ said R.N. Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

“The medical examination of the girl revealed no sign of injury at her private parts and no semen was found.
Though rape was ruled out in the medical examination, the girl continued to claim she was gangraped,“ said Mishra.

The girl had told the police that she had come for a job interview but the four men raped her in the car.

The DSP said, “The address given by her was found to be fake. Her sister came from Ghaziabad but she claimed she was her cousin. On detailed interrogation, she revealed her family was facing some financial problem and she was in need of Rs 50,000. She confessed that she made kidnapping and gang rape complaint to extract money.“

“She was handed over to her sister. Though she could have been booked for giving wrong complaint, she was let off with just a stern warning,“ said Mishra

TV actor's revenge plot backfires

HYDERABAD: Police on Sunday arrested TV artiste Dimple Kontam and two of her associates for attacking her boyfriend Sridhar Verma, also a TV artiste, with acid last week. Dimple Kontam, 24, of Alwal has acted in several TV serials in Telugu.
On Wednesday last, Dimple had lodged a complaint with the Raidurgam police alleging that an unidentified woman had attacked her with chilli powder and an iron rod while she was on her way for a TV serial shoot with her assistant Mani. 

A day before that, her friend Sridhar Verma was attacked with acid by an assistant provided by a production house at Malaysian Township. However, as the chemical was highly diluted, Sridhar escaped without any injuries. The next day, Sridhar lodged a complaint with the KPHB police alleging that one Nagaraju, an assistant provided by the production house, had attacked him. 

However, the love-revenge plot unravelled when police nabbed Nagaraju from Yousufguda on Saturday and interrogated him. 

Nagaraju told police that Dimple and Mani had asked him to throw acid on Sridhar. Nagaraju was paid Rs 2,500 and the duo also assured him that they would help him in his career, KPHB inspector N Narasimha Reddy said. 

Nagaraju, along with Uday, another production house employee, went on a bike to Malaysian Township on June 8 and called Sridhar Verma. He told Sridhar that he was waiting at Malaysian Township and requested him to pick him up. Sridhar went there in a car and when he rolled down the window glass, Nagaraju threw the chemical on his face and fled. 

By Tuesday night, Dimple and Mani realised that Sridhar was not injured and he had identified Nagaraju. 

In order to escape from the law, they decided to stage an attack on themselves, the inspector added. 

As per their plan, Mani made some scratches on the face of Dimple with a knife and threw some chilli powder and then approached the Raidurgam police alleging that they were attacked by an unidentified woman when they were proceeding in a car to Manikonda for a TV serial shoot on June 9. 

They even tried to put the blame on another artiste, Selvaraj. However, police nabbed Nagaraju and the truth came out. 

When quizzed by police, Dimple claimed Sridhar had promised to marry her, but was deferring it. Upset, she along with Mani decided to end his career by throwing acid on him. They roped in Uday and Nagaraju to execute it by promising to get them decent employment, the inspector said. 

Police nabbed Dimple, Mani and Nagaraju and registered cases against them under section 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They were produced before a magistrate, who remanded them in judicial custody.

अवैध संबंधों के विरोध पर किया पति पर हमला

मोदीनगर, संस : अवैध संबंधों का विरोध करने पर गुस्साई पत्नी ने पति पर प्रेमी साथ मिलकर जानलेवा हमला कर घर से फरार हो गई। घायल पति ने इस बाबत पत्नी के विरुद्ध तहरीर दी है।

मामला भोजपुर थानातंर्गत फरीदनगर कस्बे से जुड़ा है। फरीदनगर के ठाकुर द्वारा मोहल्ला निवासी मनमोहन काल्पनिक नाम की शादी वर्ष 1994 में पतला कस्बा निवासी युवती से हुई थी। शादी के कुछ दिनों बाद मनमोहन की पत्नी के ससुराल में ही पड़ोस में रहने वाले एक युवक से अवैध संबंध हो गए। अवैध संबंधों का जब मनमोहन को पता चला तो उसने विरोध जताया।

इसी बीच पत्नी ने प्रेमी के साथ षडयंत्र रचकर पति को मारने की साजिश रच डाली। 22 मई को सोते समय मनमोहन पर दोनों ने हमला बोल दिया। हमले में घायल पति को पड़ोस के लोगों ने अस्पताल पहुंचाया। आरोपी पत्नी पति को छोड़कर फरार हो गई। पीड़ित पति ने इस बाबत पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी डा.अनिल पाडेय को तहरीर दी है। पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी ने मामले की जांच थाना प्रभारी को सौंपी है।

पति की हत्या के आरोप में पत्नी व बाबा गिरफ्तार

बरेली के बेहड़ी भीमनगर की 48 वर्षीय जगवती पर आरोप है कि उसने 65 वर्षीय साधु बाबा दुलारे के साथ मिलकर पति की हत्या कर डाली। इतना ही नहीं हत्या के बाद बाबा ने शव के चेहरे पर तेजाब डालकर उसे बिगाड़ दिया। ताकि उसकी पहचान न हो सके। मगर बाबा का मोबाइल फोन घटना स्थल पर ही छूट गया और बाबा व उसकी प्रेमिका पुलिस के हत्थे चढ़ गये।

वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक रघुबीर लाल ने बताया कि विगत 6 जून को गढ़ थाना क्षेत्र के स्याना रेलवे फाटक के पास एक शव मिला था। शव के चेहरे पर तेजाब डालकर उसे बिगाड़ दिया गया था। श्री लाल ने बताया कि घटना स्थल से पुलिस को एक मोबाइल फोन मिला। जिसकी कॉल डिटेल निकलवाई गई तो वह दुलारे नामक एक साधु बाबा का निकला। दूसरी ओर बरेली के दीन नगर निवासी कल्याण गिरि नामक एक युवक ने हिंडन मोर्चरी पहुंचकर शव की पहचान अपने सौतेले पिता गणेश गिरि के रूप में की। कल्याण गिरि ने पुलिस को बताया कि उसके माता-पिता व बाबा दुलारे घर से साथ बुलंदशहर जाने के लिए निकले थे।

एसएसपी ने बताया कि पुलिस ने बाबा दुलारे व जगवती को ब्रजघाट से हिरासत में ले लिया गया है। इसके बाद जो कहानी सामने आई , उसे सुनकर हर कोई हैरान रह गया।

दुलारे ने बताया कि वह करीब डेढ़ वर्ष पूर्व जगवती के घर झाड़- फूंक करने गया था। इसी के चलते उसका वहां आना जाना शुरू हो गया। इसी दौरान जगवती व उसके बीच शारीरिक संबंध बन गए। मगर एक दिन जगवती के पति गणेश को इन संबंधों का पता चल गया। उसने विरोध किया तो जगवती व बाबा दुलारे ने उसे रास्ते से हटाने की योजना बना डाली।

साजिश के अनुसार दुलारे व जगवती गणेश को बरेली पैसेंजर ट्रेन में बैठाकर स्याना फाटक पर ले गए। जहां उन्होंने तबल से गणेश की हत्या कर दी। बाद में तेजाब डालकर उसका चेहरा भी बिगाड़ दिया।

एसएसपी ने बताया कि जगवती के बारे में जानकारी करने पर पता चला है कि गणेश के साथ उसकी दूसरी शादी थी। उसने कुछ वर्ष पूर्व जमीनी विवाद के चलते अपने पहले पति की भी कथित रूप से हत्या करवा दी थी।

'शौहर को नहीं सलीका, तलाक चाहिए'

वरिष्ठ संवाददाता ।। गाजियाबाद  वह जमाना चला गया जब पति में कितनी भी बुरी आदतें हों, लेकिन साथ छोड़ने के बारे में सोचना भी गवारा नहीं होता था, लेकिन अब जमाना बदल गया है। इसी बदले जमाने की एक घटना ने लोगों को चौंका दिया है। एक महिला ने इस आधार पर तलाक मांगा है कि उसके पति को कपड़े पहनने की तमीज नहीं है। उसका कहना है कि अगर पति को बढ़िया डिजाइन के कपड़े पहनाने की कोशिश करती हूं तो वह झगड़ा करने पर उतारू हो जाते हैं। ऐसे पति के साथ नहीं रहना है, मुझे तलाक चाहिए। अब यह मामला पुलिस के परिवार परामर्श केंद्र तक जा पहुंचा है।  वसुंधरा सेक्टर-4 में रहने वाले रामकुमार गौड़ (परिवर्तित नाम) का विवाह 5 साल पहले दिल्ली की रहने वाली रीमा (बदला हुआ नाम) के साथ हुआ था। नोएडा की एक कंपनी में सुपरवाइजर रामकुमार की पत्नी रीमा पढ़ी-लिखी है। शुरुआती दिन बड़े आराम से कटे। पहले वह बेरोजगार थीं, लेकिन 2 साल पहले रीमा ने गुड़गांव के एक कॉल सेंटर में नौकरी करनी शुरू की। इसके बाद से रामकुमार की परेशानियां बढ़ने लगीं। रामकुमार का दिखावे में विश्वास नहीं है और पत्नी रीमा को अपटूडेट शौहर चाहिए। इस बात को लेकर दोनों में बराबर झगड़ा होता है।  परिवार परामर्श केंद्र पहुंची रीमा का कहना है कि रामकुमार उसकी मर्जी से कुछ नहीं करता। जब वह उससे नए ट्रेंड के कपड़े पहनने के लिए कहती है तो वह झगड़ा करने लगता है। इससे उसकी बेइज्जती होती है। उसने अपने पति को कई बार समझाने का प्रयास किया लेकिन वह मानने को तैयार नहीं है। रोज के झगड़े से वह तंग आ गई है। अब वह ऐसे व्यक्ति के साथ जीवन नहीं गुजारना चाहती जो उसे समझने के लिए तैयार नहीं है। परामर्श केंद्र के अधिकारियों ने उससे पूरा मामला लिखित में मांगा है जिससे कि मामला रजिस्टर हो सके। इसके बाद रामकुमार को नोटिस दिया जाएगा।

Criminal and Divorce suits filed by woman on FRIVOLOUS grounds of Saari

Another typical case where an EMPOWERED woman files frivolous CRIMINAL as well as  Divorce cases. To add spices to the divorce petition, she even goes to the extent of frivolously accusing her innocent hubby of extra-marital affairs.

साड़ी के नाम पर तलाक नहीं मिल सकता: हाई कोर्ट

मुंबई।। साड़ी पहनने में बेशक उलझन भरी ड्रेस हो, खासकर पंजाबी ड्रेस सलवार सूट के मुकाबले में, लेकिन इसके नाम पर शादी को खत्म नहीं किया जा  सकता। बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने यह आदेश दिया है। जस्टिस ए. पी. देशपांडे और जस्टिस रेखा की एक डिविजन बेंच ने होम्योपैथिक डॉक्टर अलका (बदला हुआ नाम) की याचिका को खारिज करते हुए यह फैसला सुनाया। कोर्ट ने कहा कि हिंदू मैरिज एक्ट के मुताबिक ससुराल वालों का साड़ी पहनने के लिए दबाव डालना 'क्रूरता' के तहत नहीं आता। अलका और आनंद की शादी जून 2003 को हुई थी। जल्द ही पति और ससुराल वालों से लड़ाई झगड़े के बाद अलका मायके आकर रहने लगी। अलका ने न सिर्फ पति, सास और पति की दो बहनों के खिलाफ दहेज उत्पीड़न और क्रिमिनल केस दायर किया, बल्कि फैमिली कोर्ट में तलाक के लिए भी पिटिशन डाल दी। इसमें अलका ने क्रूरता के कुछ उदाहरण दिए, जिनमें पति के अवैध संबंध को प्रमुख उदाहरण बताया गया है। इसके अलावा एक शिकायत यह है कि ससुराल वाले साड़ी पहनने का दबाव डालते हैं। फैमिली कोर्ट ने अलका की याचिका रद्द कर दी थी, जिसके खिलाफ अलका हाई कोर्ट पहुंची थीं। हाई कोर्ट ने भी फैमिली कोर्ट के फैसले को बरकरार रखा। अन्य आरोपों को साबित करने के लिए अलका ठोस सबूत नहीं जुटा सकीं, इसलिए कोर्ट ने तलाक की पिटिशन खारिज कर दी। साड़ी वाले मामले पर कोर्ट का कहना था कि साड़ी पहनने के लिए कहना उस 'क्रूरता' के दायरे में नहीं है, जिसके तहत तलाक दे दिया जाए।

The laws in India say that mother is a natural guardian for children atleast upto 5-years of age, and she is the one who can think and do best for such child's welfare!!

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old woman along with her lover has been arrested by west district police for allegedly attempting to murder her husband. The accused have been identified as Reena (24) and Satish Kumar Chauhan (21). 

The police said Reena and her husband, Om Prakash, were intercepted by two bikers in Hari Nagar on May 7. The bikers tried to snatch Reena's gold chain. When Om Prakash intervened, he was stabbed several times. When the police investigated the incident, it found clues indicating that the snatching incident could have been stagemanaged. 

"The number of stab injuries sustained by the victim indicated robbery alone might not be the motive for this crime. We also noticed contradictions in the statements given by Reena. Though Om Prakash had sustained grievous injuries, his wife did not have any injury or abrasion on her neck. This raised some questions," said DCP (west) Sharad Agarwal. 

The police spoke to family members and one of them revealed that Om Prakash was not on good terms with his wife. 

"We found during the investigation that Reena used to talk to Chauhan frequently on phone," added DCP Agarwal. 

Chauhan was living in the neighbourhood of Om Prakash for the past three years. Om Prakash's nephew, Deepak, introduced Chauhan to his uncle and he started visiting his house frequently. "He developed an intimacy with Reena and the two decided to live together. They came so close to each other that they went a temple in November 2009 and accepted each other as a husband and wife in an unconventional ceremony," said a police officer. 

Om Prakash got suspicious of his wife as she used to talk a lot on her mobile phone. When he objections, she complained about it to Satish. "They hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Om Prakash," added the officer. The police said they have seized the knife with which Om Prakash was stabbed. The couple were married for past two and half years and had two children.

अहमदाबाद ।। किडनैपिंग और रेप के एक मामले में पुलिस ने चार महिलाओं को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोप है कि इन चारों महिलाओं ने 15 साल की एक लड़की को किडनैप करके उसे एक युवक के हवाले कर दिया जिसने उसके साथ बार-बार रेप किया।

लड़की के पिता द्वारा दर्ज करवाई गई शिकायत के मुताबिक राणिप की रहने वाली शोभा, शिवम, मुन्नी और सोमती ने नौकरी का लालच देकर 31 मई को उनकी बेटी का अपहरण कर लिया। उसके बाद वे उसे तिलक पासी नाम के एक युवक के पास ले गईं जो छह महीने पहले अहमदाबाद से आया था। वह लड़की को ड्राइव-इन रोड पर एक होटल में ले गया और उसे एक दिन बंधक बनाए रखा। 24 घंटे में उस युवक ने लड़की के साथ पांच बार रेप किया। अगले दिन 1 जून को लड़की को बाइक पर राणिप जीएसटी रेलवे क्रॉसिंग ले जाकर उसने छोड़ दिया। लड़की घर लौट आई।

साबरमती के पुलिस इंस्पेक्टर बी.आर. डेर ने कहा कि हमने जांच की और चारों महिलाओं को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। इन महिलाओं ने अपराध कबूल करते हुए कहा है कि जल्द पैसा बनाने की इच्छा से उन्होंने ऐसा किया।

After a lethargic investigation, the Delhi police findings:

"No sufficient evidence has been found in the probe against the accused persons and based on the findings, the accused cannot be prosecuted for the offences detailed in the FIR," the closure report, filed before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Kumar Pandey, said. 

So one more RAPE case turns out to be a hoax.
Instead of reprimanding the woman for filing a false case, this is the behavior of court:

"Final report filed by ACP Jai Tirkey. Petitioner (alleged victim) is at liberty to file protest petition or objection, if any, on the next date of hearing when the report would be considered," the ACMM said.

Such is that state of affairs in the current laws and their implementation and judgement in India!!

Woman hides income, claims maintenance

Maintenance claim from Husband - One of the typical cases which does rounds of the courts during matrimonial disputes.

In most of such maintenance proceedings, women hide their sources and quantum of income with intentions to extort maximum maintenance amount from Husband.

This is a routine procedure where judges without caring is a woman is able-bodied or not, can maintain herself or not, order maintenance and make husband go thru "legal extortion"

Claiming maintenance, or in other words EARLY RETIREMENT BENEFITS, has almost become automatic for women by just filing CrPC 125/DV/HAMA etc. Pleas or arguments forwarded by husbands are overlooked altogether.

This man had to resort such a sting operation as a last resort to prove that his wife is working. He was plain lucky and could afford to do such a sting, while there are several others who do no have means or access to do the same.

Another point to note here is that even after such a sting operation, and after knowing that this wife lied on oath, the judge did not proceed with any "suo moto" proceedings against wife for lying on oath!!
Nor the maintenance was denied to the wife. The judge just reduced the portion of BENEFITs she could claim from the husband!!

Going by the definition of Domestic Violence Act, 2005, of India, a woman can file charges against a relative whosoever financially/economically abuses to her. So, apart from all the IPC/CrPC sections applicable for this offence, the Daughter-in-law should be charged under DV act as well.


BUT, since, the hidden agenda of creating this DV Act was to give supreme powers and the right to claim victimization to a Daughter-in-law only, the poor mother-in-law has been kept out to be an aggrieved party.

A woman and five of her family were arrested on Sunday for allegedly drugging and robbing the woman's 75- year-old mother-in-law.


According to the police, 28- year-old Meetu Talwar, along with her brother, mother, aunt, uncle and cousin-in-law, allegedly drugged Har Kaur before making away with cash and jew- ellery worth over Rs 22 lakh, from her Tilak Nagar residence on May 15.

“We got suspicious after Meetu, (her brother) Kamal Nain and (her mother) Parvinder went missing from their home just a day after the incident,“ said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity.

The police said the absconding trio came further under the scanner after the police found out the family had been borrowing large sums of money from local lenders.

“It was revealed that Meetu, along with her brother and mother had been indulging in financial deals, which includ- ed mortgage, payment of interest against principle and monthly committee schemes.

It was also learnt that Meetu was in huge debt,“ the officer said.
The trio was finally held from their relatives' house in Hari Nagar.

The officer said Meetu had confessed to the crime and revealed she had borrowed money for her first husband's medical treatment, which she could not pay back. She had also borrowed a large sum from her maternal aunt, which she was under pressure to repay,“ the officer added.

A woman a CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT by profession - gives birth to her second illegitimate child (a girl) - and then BRUTALLY kills the child !!

Please bear in mind that becoming CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT in India is a very tough task, no less that clearing IIMs and IITs entrance. The exams of chartered accountants in India have one of the least qualifying ratio; only about a few percentage of all the candidates manage to clear these exams every year!!

DO notice, how easily the courts accept the contentions of the defense lawyer... stress/depression is put across as a simple reason which gets accepted as well.

The investigation was shabby - ostensibly to protect her.

No reliance was placed on her character and hence, the reasoning that should follow, that she killed the child on purpose - in her full senses!!

Courts and Laws do freely allow the women to indulge and enjoy in extra-marital affairs without any consequences to her. Only a MAN can be tried for adultery under IPC 497!!

But what saved a 29-year-old mother accused of killing her daughter moments after birth - from a possible life sentence was the testimony of the doctor who performed the post-mortem on the child’s body. Last week, the Thane Sessions Court acquitted the young mum of murder, after the defence argued that during the autopsy, the doctor had not conducted a crucial test to determine whether or not the child was stillborn. The court did find her guilty of secretly disposing the child’s body and sentenced her to 16 months of imprisonment. She had already served the sentence as she had been unable to secure bail while the trial was on, so she walked free. According to the police, the woman - a chartered accountant by profession - was under immense pressure from her family, who threatened to throw her out of the house as the baby was her second outside of wedlock. She decided she could take no more when her boyfriend went back on his word to marry her. So, on January 15, 2009, she gave birth to the baby at her parents’ Bhayander home with help from her family and allegedly banged the newborn’s head against the wall, killing her instantly. She then stuffed the baby’s corpse into a plastic bag and flung it out of her bathroom window into a garbage bin outside. A sweeper found the body and informed the Mira Road police, who arrested the woman on January 24. She was subsequently charged under Sections 302 (murder) and 318 (secret disposal of child’s body) of the IPC. In the trial before the Sessions Court, defence lawyer Ashish Chavan argued that his client’s violent reaction was due to the fact that she was suffering from postpartum depression and because the child was born by precipitate labour, meaning she was born less than three hours after the mother went into labour. Postpartum depression is a form of clinical depression that mostly affects women after childbirth, generating a vast range of feelings like sadness, loneliness, fear or lack of love towards their baby - and guilt for having such feelings. It is caused mainly due to hormonal imbalance. Chavan stressed that in extreme cases of postpartum depression, the mother suffers from temporary insanity. However, it was Chavan’s argument that the hydrostatic test wasn’t performed during the post-mortem that saved the woman.

VARANASI: A woman allegedly killed her lover by setting him on fire while he was sleeping in a field at Keshavpur village under Jalalpur police station in Jaunpur district on Saturday night. The police arrested the woman on Sunday and sent her to jail.

According to reports, the woman, Sudama Devi (22), allegedly burnt her lover Indrasen (38) to death. The Jalalpur station officer told TOI over phone that the woman had confessed to her crime and was sent to jail.

NEW YORK: A depressed Indian woman threw her 19-month-old daughter into the chilly Hudson river and then jumped in behind her in a murder-suicide attempt to get back at her husband, prosecutors have said.

The baby of 33-year-old Devi Silvia, the mother of two who hails from Tamil Nadu, had to be taken to a trauma centre in Manhattan in a critical condition.

"She said she was sad and lonely and angry at her husband and that she did this horrific act on purpose," assistant district attorney Robert Hettleman was quoted as saying by the New York Post.

"She made clear that she threw her baby into the freezing river in order to get back at her husband," he said, arguing successfully that the mother be held without bail.

The toddler, Jessica Prithi-viraj, was blue and motionless when rescuers plucked her and Silvia from the roughly 10-degrees celsius water on Tuesday last, Hettleman said. He said the child was in a stable condition.

These news items are contrary to one another on many aspects:

- Will an engineer with Mirosoft, go for marriage (or for that matter demand) for a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs for his marriage? This is, at best, just a few months' salary for him!!

- Was the real reason that wife had pimples?

- OR was it that the wrong info provided by girl for horoscope matching?

- OR, was the husband really a mentally disturbed person?

- What an innocent lady, who let go her husband without any police complaint even after an attempt on her life on Aug 29, 2009... what was she waiting for past 8-9 months??

NOW, this case clearly underlines how SERIOUS (??) media is in reporting the matrimonial issues!!

- Everywhere in media a Husband and his Family members are ASSUMED and PRESUMED to be GUILTY even before any court trial could happen.

- Media BLATANTLY DEFAMES the husband and his family by putting pics of Husband while CONCEALING the identity of the complainant wives at the same time

- Media never try to go beyond creating sensational news to find out the real truth

- Even when a case is sub-judice, Media carries out stories depending on their convenience to report or not report

BUT such is the state of laws in INDIA where IPC 498A for dowry harassment can be filed against husband and his entire family as easily as a person can order for a PIZZA !!!

A woman set her husband on fire over a petty issue at Basaveshwarnagar on Monday night.

Nagaraj (22), a resident of Kamalanagar, who sustained burn injuries is battling for life in Victoria Hospital. Basaveshwarnagar police said Nagaraj, a painter, married Vedavati (20) just two months ago. Nagaraj was an alcoholic and there used to be frequent quarrels between the couple over this. On Monday, Nagaraj returned home in an inebriated state and an argument ensued. Irked by this, Vedavati doused him with kerosene, set him ablaze and fled from the house. A few neighbours rushed inside and shifted him to the hospital.
