Cop father-son duo false accused by woman for dowry harassment

This lady works for IT sector, which invariably means a kind of comfortable working conditions like AC office, 5-day a week work etc.
Her husband and father both work for police. And she expects her husband to be available to her all time to fulfill all her demands.
The main issue here is not dowry but the different working timings due to altogether different working profiles.
When thinking of taking divorce it would have occurred to her that being working herself she would get less or no money as maintenance; and, how can she leave the husband and father-in-law's black money behind when separating.
Pat comes the solution in form of dowry harassment complaint!!!

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/City/Mumbai/Cop-father-son-duo-booked-in-dowry-case/articleshow/6057187.cms
MUMBAI: A father-son duo, employed with the Mumbai police, has been booked in a dowry case along with four other family members. The complaint was filed by Shreya aka Ratnaprabha (26), who is married to Sachin Jadhav (29), a constable.

Sachin’s father Chandrakant (54) is an assistant sub-inspector at the JJ Marg police station. Shreya, in her complaint, has stated that her in-laws were demanding a dowry of Rs 5 lakh. One of her main grouse is that her husband didn’t return home early from work. A sessions court has granted anticipatory bail to all the six accused.

Sachin and Shreya tied the knot in February 2009. They lived with Sachin’s parents, Chandrakant and Sangeeta, at Byculla. Shreya used to work in the IT sector.

In her statement to the Agripada police, Shreya stated that her husband used to return home late from work. She has claimed that Sachin gave her evasive replies every time she asked him about his late arrival. This, Shreya has alleged, forced her to stay up late. She has also said that staying up late upset her routine and made it difficult for her to juggle her job with household chores.

“Shreya has told us that the Jadhavs were putting pressure on her to get her to get money from her parents so that they could buy a new house,’’ a police officer said. “She claims she was taunted and abused verbally. Sachin’s sister Jyoti and cousins—Neelam Vidhate and Anita Bankar— have also been accused of harassment,’’ said the officer. While Vidhate lives in Junnar, Bankar resides in Lonavla.

Sachin’s counsel, MA Khan, said the constable had to rush for emergency as well as bandobast duties at odd hours. “As a result, he had to spend a lot of time away from his family,” said Khan.

The court granted anticipatory bail to all the accused on the grounds that their custody wasn’t required. “The Jadhavs are willing to return all the valuables that Shreya had brought at the time of the marriage,’’ Khan said.

Meanwhile, Shreya has filed for maintenance in a court at Sangamner in Ahmednagar, her hometown. She is currently living with her parents in Vashi.

Dowry harassment case after 31 years of marriage

Another classic example of how anti-dowry laws like IPC 498A are being misused with full police and legal support.
Woman claims to being tortured for dowry for past 31 years, and claims she had to take legal recourse because as the torture became unbearable.

What a strong woman indeed to bear tortures for 31 years - Govt should really contemplate awarding her some medals like "Shaurya Chakra", "Paramveer Chakra" !!

The idiotic husband and his family - what a slow pace of torture that it took 31 years for them to take the torture to the unbearable level !!

By the way, "brokers in uniform" i.e. the police did try preliminary rounds of extortion failing which they moved to FIR to extort legally.

Hoax bomb scare - Woman let off with no arrest

Woman just don't leave any opportunity to nag their husband and also to take full advantage of the sympathy showered upon them by the media, society and the judges!!
As if not satisfied enough with nagging her husband, she went ahead to make a hoax bomb scare at the husband's employer which is a bank.
Obviously, she had scant regards as to the sensitivity of the issue and inconvenience it caused to the bank, customers and authorities.
Strange is the modus operandi of the police in this case. Normal course is to arrest the person who makes such hoax calls. But, all such "normal course" was bent to suit for the woman!!

CHENNAI: Tired of asking her husband to take leave and spend time with her, a woman allegedly called a private bank in Parrys where he works early on Wednesday and warned of bomb blasts.
Her intention was that the bank would close down for the day and her husband, who works there as a security guard, might come home early. An hour later, police personnel swooped down on the house and took the woman into custody for interrogation. According to police sources, the private bank authorities received a phone call around 8 a.m. that a bomb would explode in the premises. On information, police and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad personnel conducted a thorough check and declared the threat as a hoax.
Since the caller’s number was recorded in the bank’s telephone, police located the suspect’s house in Vysarpadi and went there. Scared on seeing the police, the woman confessed to making the call.
“She thought that the bank would close down following the bomb scare. The fact remains that she had no intention of committing any crime. Her idea was only to spend more time with her husband. We referred her to a counseling centre,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) M. Shakeel Akhter said. Though the routine process would be to register a case and arrest the accused, the Chennai Police took a lenient view and let the woman go. Her husband was also advised to spend more time with family, a police official added.

Not many men folks are as lucky to get away with light punishments once found guilty!!!

New Delhi: A Delhi court has awarded lighter punishment of six months' prison term to a woman for possessing ganja, taking into account the fact that there is no one else to look after her physically-challenged son.
Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Jain imposed a fine of Rs.30,000 on Gullo Devi after holding her guilty under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The court also awarded the 55-year-old woman a six-month prison term that she has already served during her judicial custody.

Convicted
Gullo Devi was arrested on May 30, 2006, for allegedly possessing 10 kg of ganja, declared as a controlled drug under the NDPS Act. She was convicted under Section 20(b)(ii) of the NDPS Act for possessing ganja which carries maximum punishment of five years besides the fine.
During arguments on the quantum of sentence, she submitted that she has the responsibility of bringing up five children and her eldest son is a patient of polio and dependent on her even for basic needs. “The proceedings reveal that she was released on interim bail on the ground of examination of her child as there was no other to look after his well-being. Keeping in view the special circumstances and the pathetic condition of her child and the fact that after this incident she is not involved in trafficking of drug and has rehabilitated herself, I am not inclined to incarcerate the accused further,” the Judge said. - PTI

Teenage girl makes false RAPE accusation

Another day another fake rape case!!!
Teenager girl alleges gang-rape against four, near a famous Mall in NOIDA. And, even though RAPE was ruled out in Medical Examination, she continued to claim she was gang-raped!!
The motive was simply to extort some money because of her financial needs.

And, here is the usual approach which police adopts when dealing with false cases.
Of course, the police lets go of the girl with "stern warning"!!
Only police can explain what they mean by their stern warning, and why in the first place did they not charge the girl with other offences??
Is she not guilty of cheating, wasting govt. servants time and public money for a false accusation??
If this had been done by a man, first action by police is to let their hands loose at brutal thrashing of the man. Next, they would have piled up sections from IPC/CrPC to teach him a lesson.

But, since, here they were dealing with a girl, they did not try to touch her with any of cheating cases.
What to expect next ??
This gal is having financial needs and wants to fulfill that with some quick, easy, extorted money. So, she is bound to return with better planning next time to make some false case again with some other unsuspecting 'bakra'

New Delhi, 19 Jun 2010

The kidnapping and gang rape complaint made by an 18-year-old girl on Friday turned out to be false.
The police said the girl had planned to blackmail the four men she had accused of raping her. Though the police arrested the teenager, they let her off later with a “stern warning“.
“On Friday evening we received a call from the Delhi Police about kidnapping of a girl from Great India Place Mall area. Immediately police teams traced the Scorpio car and nabbed two suspected kidnappers and recovered the girl. The girl told the police that the two other men, who were with the accused, had run away,“ said R.N. Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
“The medical examination of the girl revealed no sign of injury at her private parts and no semen was found.
Though rape was ruled out in the medical examination, the girl continued to claim she was gangraped,“ said Mishra.
The girl had told the police that she had come for a job interview but the four men raped her in the car.
The DSP said, “The address given by her was found to be fake. Her sister came from Ghaziabad but she claimed she was her cousin. On detailed interrogation, she revealed her family was facing some financial problem and she was in need of Rs 50,000. She confessed that she made kidnapping and gang rape complaint to extract money.“
“She was handed over to her sister. Though she could have been booked for giving wrong complaint, she was let off with just a stern warning,“ said Mishra

False Rape filed to avoid traffic offenses

Rape faked to avoid traffic offenses

HARTSHILL, England, June 8 (UPI) -- A British woman admitted to inventing a story of a rape to avoid being charged with offenses related to crashing her boyfriend's car without insurance.
Sarah Hunter, 30, of Hartshill, England, pleaded guilty in Coventry Magistrates Court to wasteful employment of police time, using a vehicle without insurance and failing to stop after an accident, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
Prosecutors said Hunter took her boyfriend's car, which she was not insured to drive, without his permission and crashed into two parked cars in Canley. They said she ran to a nearby house and concocted a story of being dragged from the car by two men and raped in an alleyway.
Police said Hunter's story wasted 15 hours of their time and caused panic in the neighborhood, where residents believed rapists were at large.
Hunter faces up to six months in prison when she is sentenced later this month.

Live-in partners splits, woman files false criminal case against partner

Just how easy is it for women to exploit and abuse the Indian laws and judicial process has become evident once more in yet another false case!!
This lady entered into a live-in relationship while studying in UK. Subsequently, she delivers a baby in 2009 in UK.
Next, with intentions to extort from the guy, she files complaints against him with charges of domestic violence and rape while in UK itself.
It is very much evident that these were false complaints as these were filed about the 1 year after the birth of their child. But unlike Indian processes, the UK processes are lesser blind, and she had to herself withdraw all the allegations by signing an affidavit.

After some more time the couple returns India and go their separate ways. Now, this woman how much this woman is empowered in INDIA owing to the "Kannoon andha hota hai" (Law is blind) philosophy, and realizing she can extort good amount using (abusing) the Indian judicial processes, she goes ahead and files false criminal cases of IPC 498a, not one but two cases!!!

She wants money, uninterrupted and unquestioned custody of the child which is already with her and on top of that maintenance as well!!

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/-Live-in-couple-splits-Is-man-liable-to-pay-for-kids-upkeep/articleshow/5720076.cms
TNN, Mar 25, 2010

NEW DELHI: After throwing its weight behind live-in relationships saying there is no illegality if two adults live together, the Supreme Court is facing a difficult emotional fallout of it.

What if two adults decide to live together in a foreign country, share an apartment and have a child and when they come back, the man goes away saying he had no formal relationship with the woman and hence was not liable to her and the child's maintenance?

This question has cropped up before the Supreme Court, which has stayed proceedings initiated by a woman under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code in Gujarat. But realising the sensitivity of the issues involved, it posted the case for hearing on May 7.

The case is between Japmandeep and Rajshri. He went to London on a student visa in March 2003 to do post-graduation in information technology from London College of Management and IT. There he met Rajshri, who was pursuing her masters in IT since October 2002. According to Japmandeep, "they became friends and in October 2003 started sharing the same apartment".

"We shared an apartment in UK, but no religious ceremony for performing marriage took place in London nor did we register any civil partnership as is required under the law of UK. As per UK law, no relationship between the parties exist unless the formalities required under the law of UK are complied with," Japmandeep said in his petition before the SC seeking quashing of the proceedings initiated by his erstwhile live-in partner.

But there was not a word by the man that a child was born to them in 2005 in UK. After staying the proceedings, the SC issued notice to Rajshri, who in her response submitted documents, including the birth certificate of the child from UK.

The birth certificate showed that the child was born to Japmandeep Singh Ahluwalia and Rajshri Ahluwalia on November 9, 2005, at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough. A copy of the passport annexed to the reply filed in the SC through lawyer H A Raichura also gave identical description of the child's parents.

To falsify Rajshri's claim that she was married to him, Japmandeep stated in his petition filed through counsel J S Chhabra that she on October 10, 2006, had made a complaint about domestic violence and rape against him to UK authorities. "However, on December 8, 2006, the complainant withdrew all the allegations levelled against him and signed a statutory declaration in the form of an affidavit before the oath commissioner in England that all the allegations regarding domestic violence, rape and dowry were false and untrue," Japmandeep said.

But after they reached India on August 29, 2008, Rajshri left for her home in Gujarat and Japmandeep went to Patiala, where his parents lived. "All the communication which have taken place in the year 2008, between Rajshri and Department of Home Office, UK, she was addressed as Rajshri Ben Vijay Kumar Kesri and Japmandeep was addressed as her partner and not her husband," he said in his defence.

Rajshri initiated proceedings under Section 498A at Patiala and Ahmedabad, and both have been stayed by higher courts — one by Punjab and Haryana HC and the other by SC. However, Rajshri in her response to the apex court expressed willingness to compromise with Japmandeep allowing him to contract fresh marriage provided he returns the money, ornaments and certificates he owed to her, the 4-year-old son remains with her and pays a lumpsum amount to her for maintenance.

Girls accused of rape
By Mpumi Kiva

EXCERPTS:
Two teenage girls are facing rape charges after they allegedly lured two young boys into a house and had sex with them.

The 12-year-old boys claim the teenagers, aged 14 and 19, put condoms onto their penises then made them have sex.

The alleged attack went on for about four hours before the young boys were allowed to leave and go home.

Since then the boys have been withdrawn and scared to venture outside of their Crossroads homes.

This week the youngsters told the Daily Voice that they had been on their way home from visiting a relative on Thursday afternoon when the two girls called them into a house in Boys Town, Nyanga.

The Grade 7 boys say they know the girls and didn't suspect anything when the teenagers told them they wanted to show them something.

The boys say they followed the girls into a house but once inside, the 19-year-old locked the front door and hid the keys in her panties.

TV actor's revenge plot backfires
TNN, Jun 14, 2010, 04.14am IST

HYDERABAD: Police on Sunday arrested TV artiste Dimple Kontam and two of her associates for attacking her boyfriend Sridhar Verma, also a TV artiste, with acid last week. Dimple Kontam, 24, of Alwal has acted in several TV serials in Telugu.
On Wednesday last, Dimple had lodged a complaint with the Raidurgam police alleging that an unidentified woman had attacked her with chilli powder and an iron rod while she was on her way for a TV serial shoot with her assistant Mani.

A day before that, her friend Sridhar Verma was attacked with acid by an assistant provided by a production house at Malaysian Township. However, as the chemical was highly diluted, Sridhar escaped without any injuries. The next day, Sridhar lodged a complaint with the KPHB police alleging that one Nagaraju, an assistant provided by the production house, had attacked him.

However, the love-revenge plot unravelled when police nabbed Nagaraju from Yousufguda on Saturday and interrogated him.

Nagaraju told police that Dimple and Mani had asked him to throw acid on Sridhar. Nagaraju was paid Rs 2,500 and the duo also assured him that they would help him in his career, KPHB inspector N Narasimha Reddy said.

Nagaraju, along with Uday, another production house employee, went on a bike to Malaysian Township on June 8 and called Sridhar Verma. He told Sridhar that he was waiting at Malaysian Township and requested him to pick him up. Sridhar went there in a car and when he rolled down the window glass, Nagaraju threw the chemical on his face and fled.

By Tuesday night, Dimple and Mani realised that Sridhar was not injured and he had identified Nagaraju.

In order to escape from the law, they decided to stage an attack on themselves, the inspector added.

As per their plan, Mani made some scratches on the face of Dimple with a knife and threw some chilli powder and then approached the Raidurgam police alleging that they were attacked by an unidentified woman when they were proceeding in a car to Manikonda for a TV serial shoot on June 9.

They even tried to put the blame on another artiste, Selvaraj. However, police nabbed Nagaraju and the truth came out.

When quizzed by police, Dimple claimed Sridhar had promised to marry her, but was deferring it. Upset, she along with Mani decided to end his career by throwing acid on him. They roped in Uday and Nagaraju to execute it by promising to get them decent employment, the inspector said.

Police nabbed Dimple, Mani and Nagaraju and registered cases against them under section 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). They were produced before a magistrate, who remanded them in judicial custody.

पति की हत्या के आरोप में पत्नी व बाबा गिरफ्तार

Jun 11, 01:29 am
